Science Tutoring: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for students in Needham, Wellesley, Newton, Dover, Westwood

One-on-One Physics Tutoring, Chemistry Tutoring, and Biology Tutoring for students  in Needham, Wellesley, Newton, Dover, Westwood

Our tutors know the science curriculum inside and out, having earned degrees in science and worked in classrooms for years. When you work with us, you’ll learn the ins and outs of these difficult subjects, so you can ace the class!

Science subjects like physics, chemistry, and biology can be confusing and difficult to understand as a whole, because you’re only looking at one little piece of the puzzle. When you work with a tutor, you’re working with someone who can help you not just appreciate individual concepts, but also integrate your new knowledge into a coherent whole. (If you need help with the math part of science class, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered there, too!)

When you work with us, you won’t just learn what’s necessary to succeed on your next test (although that will certainly be part of it). We will coach you through how to tie together different concepts from science so that it seems more “connected” and worth learning. This approach, which has worked for so many students, is probably a big part of the reason why we are by far the highest-rated tutoring service in Needham!

Can We Work On My Homework Problems?

In a word: Yes! Our goal is that you come away from your session with a deeper understanding of the concepts being taught in your class. Most often, this will involve going over what your class is doing now – which means we will go over your homework, to make sure you understand it.

How Many Times Per Week Should I Work With A Tutor?
This is a question we get a lot. For most students, one hour per class is sufficient. This means that if you are taking physics and geometry (just for example – but a common subject combination), you might want to book two hours per week, planning one for physics and one for geometry. It can also make a difference what your need level is; if you’ve failed a recent test, it might be good to schedule two hours per week for that class until you see an improvement in grades. But if you’re already doing well, and just want to make sure you stay on top of things, one hour per week can be enough to cover two classes. Give us a call at 617-966-3198 and we can discuss your needs!
How Long Are The Sessions And When Are They Offered?

All our sessions are a one-hour minimum, and most students find that one hour per week is enough to keep their grades up in their class. Scheduling is totally customized to your needs, subject to a 24-hour cancellation policy: we offer sessions in the after-school hours Monday-Friday, with typical sessions landing in the 3 pm – 8 pm time range. We also hold sessions on Sunday afternoons. Please call or text us at 617-966-3198 to inquire about setting up an appointment.

Strength in Numbers Tutoring has been an outstanding resource in helping to keep our students on track.
