Math Tutoring | FAQs
- Can you help with the math in my Science class?
- Absolutely. We often find that a student’s struggle in Physics or Chemistry is actually a struggle with the underlying algebra. We bridge that gap to make both subjects easier. Our math tutors generally also possess expertise in science subjects, so they can help with conceptual and computational problems in both area.
- Do you provide prep for Math tests and quizzes?
- The best approach is if you work regularly with a tutor who develops a deep familiarity with your learning style. Although we definitely can and do get students ready for specific tests, to really unlock your potential, it’s best to work with a math tutor on a regular basis.
- How many sessions per week do I need?
- For most students, one hour per week per class is sufficient. If you are balancing two subjects—like Physics and Geometry—we recommend two hours per week. If you’ve recently struggled with a test, we may suggest doubling up until your grades and confidence improve.
-
Do you work remotely or in person?
-
We can do both! Our students have achieved awesome results working with us either by meeting with us in person at our Needham and Wellesley offices, or remotely.
-
- What is the cost?
- We have many different price points, dependent on expertise of the staff who is paired with you. Everyone on our staff is subject to rigorous hiring requirements, so no matter who you end up working with, you can be confident you have an expert. For specific cost information, please get in touch.
